This website is now a blog!
The good thing about blog posts is that they’re fire-and-forget. You write something, and if some people follow your blog they read it, and that’s mostly that. Some people will read your old posts, but it’s expected that they describe what you thought at the time that you wrote them. At least that’s how I see it.
The good thing about static pages is that they aren’t tied to a moment in time, so they can feel more canonical, and it makes sense to edit them over time. At least that’s how I see it.
When I made this website years ago, that’s what I thought I wanted. But since then my interests have changed, and my writing style has changed, and I don’t have a huge desire to go back and clean up the old things that I wrote.
Since the things I write are going to change over time, it feels like the medium I write them in should reflect that. So, now it’s a blog. The old static pages are now under “Archive”, and new pages will be posts instead.
